Kuala Selangor Nature Park is located at the foot of Bukit Melawati,Selangor. Kuala Selangor Nature Park, also known as Taman Alam, is a haven for a wide variety of flora and fauna. It comprises over 200 hectares of coastal land, a large part of which is mangrove swamps.

The uniqueness of the park is evident as it is also very accessible. There are trails of varying distances and visitors get to explore and experience different habitats as there are bird hides and watch towers situated around the manmade 25 acre brackish water lake system. Many local and migratory bird species are found in the park.

Visitors also get to enjoy the Mangrove walkway which takes you into the heart of the mangrove forest where you will get up close and personal with the flora and fauna that are unique to this habitat.


The area also has more than 150 species of birds, and an estimated 100,000 wading birds, comprising some 30 species, passing through here on their annual migration. Observation hides and watch towers have been built to allow visitors to observe birds and other species of animals like butterflies, insects, reptiles, fish, mudskippers, mud lobsters and crabs.
